POC is pleased to announce that Elizabeth (“Liz”) Silver, Esq. joined the the firm on November 1, 2019 as a Associate Attorney. Liz was awarded her BA in English, , magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001 and her Masters in Arts in Creative Writing from The University of East Anglia, Norwich, England in 2004. She earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2008. Liz is licensed to practice law in California, New York and Texas. She was an associate attorney in the Los Angeles office of medical malpractice defense firm Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Nichols. An accomplished book and article author, Liz’ 2013 novel The Execution of Noa P. Singleton (Crown/Random House – 2013) was noted by Amazon as among The Best Books of 2013. Her non-fiction book, The Tincture of Time: A Memoir of (Medical) Uncertainty (Penguin Press – 2017) was identified as one of “Ten Books to Pick Up Now” by O! The Oprah Magazine. While continuing her incredible career as a writer and editor, Liz never lost the desire to defend health care providers in medical negligence litigation.
