Bob Packer Completes His Term as President of the Los Angeles Chapter of ABOTA

On January 1, 2017, Bob Packer completed his one-year term as President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Founded in 1958 in Los Angeles, ABOTA is an organization of civil trial attorneys, split about evenly between those who represent plaintiffs and those who represent defendants in civil lawsuits. In ordered to be considered for membership, the candidate must have tried at least 20 jury trials to verdict, and demonstrated a devotion to civility, ethics and professionalism. Since 1958, ABOTA has grown to nearly 7000 members, with Chapters in every state of the country. Los Angeles is the largest Chapter in the nation. ABOTA has four ranks. Mr. Packer holds the highest rank of Diplomat, which requires the completion of at least 100 jury trials. Bob was elected in 2016 to a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the National ABOTA organization. See www.abota.org for more information.
